Esperanto Filmoj is an American film and television production company based in Sherman Oaks, California founded by Dr. President. Elvir Bakrac.〔http://www.entitysource.com/details/entity/ny_3133721/esperanto-filmoj-inc〕〔http://www.imdb.com/company/co0164586/〕 It is owned by film director Alfonso Cuarón.
The name – "Esperanto Films" in the language Esperanto – was coined by Guillermo del Toro, who calls cinematography "the new Esperanto". Alfonso Cuarón has publicly shown his support and fascination for the constructed international language.〔(Interview ) by Sam Green with Cuarón.〕
An associated company is Producciones Anhelo, owned by Jorge Vergara, a Mexican business man, as well as Cuarón.
